  • Podcast The Anxious Achiever, hosted by Morra Aarons-Mele. Frank and vulnerable interviews with folks working in high pressure roles in corporations. This is highly normalizing for also being a human who has mental health issues. It really does ask us all to consider what a work environment would be like if we all just were allowed to fess up to having emotional challenges at times.

  • Book The Power of Neurodiversity by Thomas Armstrong, PhD. Set up in chapters according to one’s self-identified challenges, which range from ADHD to anxiety to depression to autism, Dr. Armstrong shows what the gifts are to each of these challenges and brain differences, arguing that they are natural human variation that, if harnessed, allows someone to be an incredible asset within their communities and work places.

  • Book It’s Not Always Depression by Hilary Jacobs Hendel. Hilary lays out the AEDP model of therapy, with accessible exercises and ways to understand core emotions and how they play a role in pathology and healing. Tools-based.

  • Workshop Emotions Education 101 facilitated by Hilary Jacobs Hendel and Heather Sanford. This is a lower-cost, less intensive way to understand and work with emotions than individual therapy or emotions coaching is! They are taught as an intensive weekend course or as an 8-week course.

  • Article about Imposter Syndrome, written by Hilary Jacobs Hendel. 5 minute read with some great ways to frame the issue so that you can work with it yourself or in therapy/coaching.

  • Book When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron - A seminal book that uses Tibetan Buddhist wisdom to encourage the reader to grow their self-compassion and to reduce stress by facing the moment head on via mindfulness practice.
