Resources for nonmonogamous/polyam folks

  • Book Polysecure: Attachment, Trauma and Consensual Non-monogamy by Jessica Fern - This book explores how attachment theory can inform and support healthy polyamorous relationships.

  • Podcast Multiamory hosted by Emily, Dedeker, and Jase. This podcast offers insights and advice for people exploring polyamory and non-monogamous relationships, including strategies for managing jealousy and building healthy communication practices.

  • Book The Polyamory Breakup Book: Causes, Prevention, and Survival by Katrhy Labriola — This book supports polyam folks in navigating breakups, as one might expect from the title.

  • Book Polyamory: A Clinical Toolkit for Therapists (and Their Clients) by Martha Kauppi — While I’ve never been completely impressed with the information in poly books, this one is the most thorough I’ve come across yet. Some sections might feel unhelpful for non-therapists, but there is plenty to work with.

  • Website (and podcast of the same name) Non-Monogamy Help by Kathy Slaughter, LCSW — When folks are looking for targeted support by topic, this is an especially useful site. The author covers a wide range of topics relevent to non-monogamous folks.
